Difference in models

Could someone please explain to me the differences in spec/performance between a UK Sti 7 Prodrive Edition and an Sti 8 UK model with PPP?

Is the Sti 7 Prodrive edition 305bhp and the standard Sti 8 265bhp and then 305bhp with the PPP added? Apart from looks are there any major differences on top of the Prodrive add ons?

I had a MY98 UK2000 classic a few years ago and seriously considering getting another scoob for around the £8k mark. Obviously a lot more Sti 7s to choose from at that price than Sti 8s but if an 8 came up would that be the one to go for? My biggest concern is the annual £455 car tax from 2010 as that is silly money for car tax :o

The STi Prodrive edition is cosmetic only.....spoiler, lights, grille etc. You have to have the additional PPP to bring it to 305 PS

The change from the Bug to the early Blob didn't bring many major mechanical changes for either the WRX or the STi.

You just have to find something registered before March 2001 LOL
