Another CAT?
 

Hi all, whilst doing a service today I had the front undertray down to get to the oil filter. Whilst I had it down I noticed what looks like a cat in the crossover pipe. Does anyone know the best place to get a decat for this?

The car is a 2002 WRX bug eye

Bugeye's have 3 cats.........up-pipe, downpipe and centre section (the STi's do without the up-pipe cat)

What's the "crossover pipe" ? :D

Id guess that hes referring to the up-pipe cat.

The bit that connects the near side cylinder bank to the turbo up pipe

Isn't that just some heat shielding ?? the headers are simply "pipes" :D

Ok, I've finally taken some pictures of the section in question.

Its just next to the oil filter.

It may not be a CAT but it is a bulge in the exhaust which made me think it might be.
