engine management light on my 02 wrx

ive had the engine management light come on a couple of times and it only does it at full throttle but it goes out once the ignition is turned off and then back on.

is the anyway of getting codes on a newage ?

You need someone to plug a reader into the OBD II port under the steering wheel...Subarue have their own OEM "select monitor" system but you will pay.

Alternatively someone in your area may have a generic reader and will pull off historic codes for the price of a couple of pints of beer :D

Or you can buy your own.

My bet for the Bugeye high RPM CEL is a camshaft position sensor error or if it's happening at WOT under load then a misfire CEL...... both spurious LOL

:thumb: spot on mate, i took it to my mate that has his own garage and used his fault code reader
it came up with the camshaft position sensor ;) so not so spurious after all :lol1:

There is no error as such........it's just the DENSO ECU not liking the signal the camshaft position sensor puts out at high revs. Just ignore it :D
