Little feckers are littered around the house, I am stood on enough of them to cause me to teach the kids new swear words and I cant remember any of their names.

So remember some of your crazes ?? :D

I remember Smurfs amongst many and laugh at the fact that nowadays they wouldnt have been allowed , not with all the lead content in the paint :lol1:

davegtt 09 September 2008 11:01 AM

kinder suprise toys :lol1: I distinctly remember the crocodiles, must have been about '93 that.

Scoobychick 09 September 2008 11:02 AM

Ker-Knockers! :D Or otherwise known as Clackers Clackers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They got banned because they were so dangerous ;) and kept breaking arms etc :D I was an expert with them :smug:

Leslie 09 September 2008 11:02 AM

Me too and the bloody clackers :)

I am talking about crazes, the things that drove your parents to bloody distraction because you begged and begged them to get you the next craze sweeping the nation..things like cabbage patch dolls, marbles etc

Used to play marbles like nobody's business. Dad gave me a lovely velvet drawstring bag that one of his expensive brandy's came in and I used that for all my marbles. ( though I have since lost my marbles :wonder: )

best one was when he came back onshore after being on the oil rigs for a month and presented me with a **** off ball bearing from one of the drilling platforms.I used that for marbles and won every blooming game :smug:

Turbohot 09 September 2008 12:58 PM

I can't remember, it was that long ago :( :D

This seems to be one with same material/colours/format that I can recall>

I used to love them!:D Boys used to go round, round and round around them with a long string. Then they used to swing their arm to throw it hard on the floor! Chopping the air, it would hit the ground by landing on the nail point. Watching it spin for ages was mesmerising  Personally, I was useless in spinning them :(

davegtt 09 September 2008 01:25 PM

Tonka trucks??? :D

Scoobychick 09 September 2008 02:26 PM

I still love Tonka trucks :notworthy

These were a huge craze in my junior school, if you got a special ringpull you got a GOLD one :luvlove:

They used to change hands for some serious currency, i.e. favorite pens, footballs, cards you name it you'd swop it for a GOLD one.

cookstar 09 September 2008 02:39 PM

And the biggest craze of all that I was involved in.......

i cleared my dads out the other day and in the attic I found a binatone games thing with about6 or 8 games (the old bat and ball and square target for the shooting one) and an astra wars.

also found my old roadmap where I used to play with my cars (must admit I p!$$ed on that a few times in my younger years as it soaked things up well :D )

Tonka Rules:thumb:
I was RUBBISH at clackers, ended up firing them out of a home made cannon, I preferred a good read, or a ride on my Chopper;)

LG John 09 September 2008 07:27 PM

I had about 3 GOLD spinners. I used to love them and got quite good with them. The only trick I wasn't that good at was "rocking the cradle"

Can any one remember TCR total control racing, from the 80's the handset had a switch that allowed the cars to change track, so much more fun than scalextrics.
