ecu code 31 throttle pos sensor what is it, where is it and what would cause this to show on the fault test....:wonder:

Mounted on the side of the throttle body - probably not adjusted correctly or faulty

Needs to be sorted by someone that knows what they're doing as TPS is used to read engine load and incorrect setting can cause det and potential engine damage.

thanx for the replys its my mates car and the fault happend after he cleaned the engine with autoglym and quite alot of water would the water be the problem

That narrow's it down a bit then - tin of WD40 or similar and spend a bit of time removing and spraying the TPS loom connector and any others you can see under the bonnet.
