Applying Products
 

Good morning,

How would you suggest this is applied:

Poorboys Natty's Paste Wax Blue - Poorboys Car Care and Detailing Products

With an applicator pad or by hand alone?

And also when it comes to this sealant, is it a case of applying with an applicator pad, waiting and then wiping off the residue?:

the nattys paste wax is a hard wax so apply with an applicator. i like the mothers mf ones. the other good one to use is the red side of the german app pads. in general it's the soft waxes that are applied by bare hand. even then i'll still apply with an app pad. pretty sure pb even apply the uber expensive zymol waxes with an app pad.

with the ex-p put it on with the app pad, leave it for half hour and then buff off. follow up with a good wax. job done.

Its for my met black impreza, so i was hopeing the ex-p followed by the nattys would look good!

yup megs ones are fine.

should look very nice. the nattys waxes are very underated and i feel that this is down to their price. to beat them i'd say you'd need to go up to the blackfire stuff or the werkstatt. but when you compare £20ish to £50+ it's a big difference.

pb are normally spot on with their deliveries so weather providing (it's peeing it down in london today) you'll be able to get a nice layer of each on. one tip when buffing the nattys off, spritz with a fine mist of water. it'll look dull to start with and you'll call me mad. but keep buffing and you'll get a craking shine. this will help to cure it quicker and allow you to apply another layer sooner than you would normally. the natty's wax spit shines lurrrrvvvvverly :D

this met black jag came up well with natty's blue. this time it wasn't spit shined. just straight on, cure and straight off. still a cracking finish imo.

yeah, i would say it will be here Friday, PB normally seem to be about 2 days + order day, heres hopeing anyway :)

Interesting, so when would i mist the water on? straight after applying it, or just before buffing?

how long does the Natty's take to cure?

apply the wax and then leave to cure. because i have to get the cars done in a day more often than not, i tend to apply to say the whole bonnet, front wings & bumper. then apply to the roof and doors, then go back and buff off the bonnet and wings. it's at the point that you start to buff off that you mist with water.

cure time for the natty's i find is ideal if about half hour upwards to an hour. depends on the weather too. too hot and it'll bake on if left for too long so you'll need to adjust.

Picked up the Wax and sealant from the post office this morning, they smell goooood! Bubble gum flavour for the Nattys and the sealant smells like Malibu! lol :)
