Nt4 Installed
SP 6a Installed Exch 5.5 Installed SP4 (Ex5.5) ready to go on... Is that next & do I have to redo SP6a afterwards? Recommendations... |
I've never replied an NT SP after doing an Exchange SP in the past.
Not had any problems but I might just have been lucky... |
I thought NT SPs only needed reinstallation after hardware installs.
I could be wrong. |
You know me - just being cautious
Ta! |
LOL - Can't think why!

"slipstreamed the SP into the source CD "
Geek! ;) |
ARGGHHH
It receives but not sends, so I made a change to where o/going mail should go, stop/restart IMS & it bloody won't "Internal Windows NT Error occured" 2140 Mutter, mutter, mutter... |

Now I'm p1$$ed Reboot - no Delete IMS & re-install & configure - no |
Ah-ha
I have something to look for :D Paul, not had a good week! ;) |
Give me a call if you want Puff - 2140 is quite common on the IMS.
|
As Chris said. 2140 is a common event on Exchange 5.5. As long as it's only the IMS that's reporting this error. When the Information Store starts reporting this error that's when you need to start worrying.

Chris
Being trying to resist that ;) But will do if mega-stuffed... Paul pointed out the Event Viewer & that led me to realise that after carefully setting things up, I hadn't configured DNS lookup  Therefore smtp.easynet wasn't resolving  |
Thanks Fosters :p

Chris
Did you have mail? |
Yup ;)
For example... If you add a new component into the Network setup on an NT 4 box, you should re-apply the SP afterwards. Unless you've slipstreamed the SP into the source CD you stuffed in when prompted by the setup routine. Otherwise you end up with file version mismatches. [Edited by ChrisB - 2/8/2002 12:18:52 PM] |
What event ID's are logged in in the Application log for Exchange ??
