Its the highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps with a height of 2757metres. Its in the Italian Alps, near Bormio and Sulden, close to Swiss border. (The road connects the Valtellina with the upper Adige valley and Merano) wow! astraboy. |
Been around forever but still makes me smile. :)

Royal Marines being flown into battle whilst sitting on the wings of an apache attack helicopter to go in and rescue a comrade who was probably already dead. please take into account the 50mph forward speed, the 100mph downdraft and the acres of air being sucked into the gas turbines which are four damn feet behind their heads. The only thing holding them on? a short length of rope and one of these: http://www.777gadget.com/gallery/gallery10-4.jpg Unbelievable :notworthy: astraboy. |
