EVO special editions vs RB5 ????

I know I should ask this on the MLR but as a few on here have had or have Evo's here goes.

Basically what would the equivalent evo be to the RB5, more from a owner perspective as RB5's seem to be cherished far more than a standard uk turbo or wrx.

If you look at most RB5's they are nearly always immaculate and if modded only slightly and tastefully, what would the EVO version be? Tommi Mak?

Appreciate everyones thoughts on this

In terms of the meaning of the car alone, I would say a TME yes.

RB5 for the win though mate.. treat yourself ;)

There are a couple of nice ones over on the RB5 owners club mate.

Are you after a WR Sport or a regular one? Or not fussed either way?

Wr sport, as I have had a 350bhp STi previous so still need a bit of power :D

There is a nice one in scotland but no service history that is putting me off, although car does seem genuine

Yes I have seen that one for sale as well.

They are definately coming down in price.. I have pined for one for yonks - never realised until recently how much they are becoming more affordable so bought mine 4 weeks ago.

Loving every minute so far :)

This is definately the way to do it, I was on the owners club site for about 18 months before I eventually got one. One sale fell through because I couldn't get the money in time, got one by putting up a wanted on Pistonheads, and sold my last car on there as well.
I believe - but don't quote me - the standard ones are easier to tune, as the prodrive ECU fitted to the WR sport is quite restricted in what you can do to it. You could get a WR sport and convert back to the standard ECU, then mod away. . . . .
Check on the owners club site, they are quite friendly.
