classic front window rain deflector problem.

Has anyone ever had this problem before.

Sometimes when I some one closes the passenger door It some how catches the rain deflector block and jambs, The I have to wind the window down, it goes bang then up again. Its not all the time and the bit isnt bent etc and is in exactly the same place as the drivers?

Anyone?

Take wind deflectors off an Impreza, they are just horrid items.

rain deflectors

Hi,the rain deflectors being on the window seal on the front pillars? might be worth popping the door card off and and checking the grease on the window lifter mechanism,if parts are binding it may misalign as it rises.
Probably check the door is latching properly and aligned when closed.failing that someones maybe had a pull at your window(that doesnt sound right)trying to fish stuff out the car, really nippy, but pretty common in town.cheers.

Same problem here on my00 classic - only ever happens on the passenger side , never on the drivers door. I'd always put it down to the fact that the passenger door is used probably only half as much and perhaps the window was 'sticking' to the rubber seal and then not properly realigning? Perhaps I'll take it off or does it really serve any purpose - to be honest I never knew what it was lol

I have seen this happen when someone raises the window as the car is being driven and I think it is down to flex in the car's monocoque which is exagerated by the frameless windows.

Never seems to happen if the window is raised when the car is stationary.
