Werkstat Acrylic

Can't believe how easy the Jett Trigger is to use but was wondering do you guys spray it directly onto the paintwork or onto a MF? The spray head is not the best and would probably prefer a finer mist spray for the spray on wipe off method. Whats your opinions?

Spray onto the MF then wipe it on the car.

The PB site will tell you everything, think it tells you on the product page aswell.

PB and the instructions on the bottle tell you to spray directly onto the paintwork, but I just don't want to apply too much. Thats why I was thinking of a finer mist spray.

I have always sprayed on MF and wiped on. If you got the kit then I sprayed on to the blue cloth and wiped off with the orange one (what's the bets the colours have changed now !!). Buffs up very nicely. You can feel the smoothness straight away.

Either way works fine enough. I know what you are saying about the spray head, but I tried out some finer spray heads but they didn't work any better either. I think the formula is a touch too thick for a finer spray head to work well. I now spray on carefully and buff quickly to move the product around before it starts to dry - works just fine when you get the knack of it, but you can also use a towel on towel off method, or even a microfibre pad on, towel off method. No hard and fast rules on this one... other than use a light mist of Glos if it becomes difficult to buff off. :thumb:

I was using the 'spray onto MF cloth' method on my Impreza. I tried the 'spray onto panel' on the Yaris and I think I am going to stick with spray onto MF cloth and wipe over with a clean one.

Might be wrong here but I think there is two settings
on the adjustable tip on the spray head. Think it has
a jet type setting and a mist setting ??
You might just have it set to the courser spray mate :wonder:
Craig.

Yes, the sprays have two spraying modes: 1) mist type of spray and the other 2) a stream

I am not sure why you might use the stream instead of the spray. As I would think, the mist is all that you would ever need, plus it is not was wasteful as the stream.

exactly what i was thinking. i spray onto the pannel and then move around quickly as per the pb method. :thumb: try doing a full correction in a day and you'll soon get the hang of working quickly lol.

Think the bottle I have has the stream and spray.

COLZO 24 August 2008 10:08 PM

Thanks a million guys. :notworthy I went and looked at the bottle and saw the 'stream' and 'spray'. When I tried using it the other day it was obviously on the 'stream' setting which is no use at all! I will be able to use it less wasteful now and with more confidence. Spray on wipe off! :thumb:

No worries :thumb:
Craig.

An additional note re. the bottle. When I run out
I'm intending on using it for my Meg's Last Touch;
it's a perfect size for whipping around the car !! :luxhello:
Craig.
