What about for 5 - 8 year old (girls)?
We have been to Chessington and quite liked it. We have an annual pass thing that lets us into Thorpe Park as well but have never been. Thanks. |
For that age group I would say Chessington.

I haven't been to both for at least 5 years, but prior to that I did frequent both of them fairly regularly as we (ex g/f had two girls who were between 6 and 9 at the time, I think) had a season pass which would get you into both (and also Alton Towers). Chessington and Thorpe are also fairly close to each other, so you could "do" them both in a single day, but a weekend away could be a better idea.
From what I know, Thorpe now has more "big" rides than Chessington. They had just opened some new roller coaster (vortex? I know it was not Nemesis, as that came after) after I left the UK so I didn't get chance to go on it, and as mentioned, Nem from AT is now there too. |
If you want monkeys try luton :)

Definitely Thorpe - costs a bit more but worth it.
Give Stealth a go. 0-80mph in under 2 seconds. The downside is the trip to see Andy F afterwards will be expensive. :norty: |

Thanks everyone , looks like Thorpe gets the vote then :thumb:
