leaky car
 

Hi All

My mate has a 1.1 saxo... however when it rains it has a leak from the internal light on the roof. I have looked and it appears that the window seal is coming away.....not the side that has the class stuck to it but the side that adheres to the metal.

Any ideas of the best way of sealing this... or what else can be the cause of the leak

If your mate has fully comp insurance then can't the windscreen have an unfortunate accident :norty: . Why not get the glass replaced under the insurance policy. The only alternative is to get it done properly, but may cost you over £100 :( I had something similar with my Daihatsu YRV and cost me £115 for someone to refit the windscreen. :mad:

i have a leaky car too, the 147 have formed a lake in the driverside foot well since the weather has turned bad. Never buy an alfa, they are pure bollocks but then u drive it and u forgive it:lol1:

Before having the screen resealed (AW charge around £60) check the aerial as the bases used to leak (use silicon sealant), if it's got a sunroof then the plastic surround deforms and lets water in (new surround needed)

Yep, as above. it'll be the aerial mount on the roof. I have a 106 that does this too.
