anti trojan software ???

Starting to see more and more anti trojan / rootkit detection software programmes being available lately, just wonder if these particular programmes off any real advantage off say your normal everyday anti virus software ?? for instance I personally use Avira premium and also superantispyware professional is this enough or would a dedicated anti trojan programme be off any benefit ??

any free anti trojan software programme available on the market just now ??

Bit confused mate ??!! are you saying these are two free software programmes that will detect things my everyday av software will not ??

A decent antivirus should catch trojans as well. I suspect there are standalone programs appearing because people still insist on using free things like AVG which are notorious for missing things...

in the good old days, antivirus is only for catching viruses. these days some sort of spyware/trojan/malware are built into the antivirus.

so, no harm in using another 3rd party spyware software such as adaware 2008 (from lavasoft) or search & destroy (from safer-networking.org). or even use microsoft defender. dont know how good it is but it is free.

Okay cheers as I say using Avira and superantispyware which are both very respected programmes so think I should be pretty well covered.
