CCTV Camera Capture Card

I'm just in the process of deciding which capture card to buy for the computer, ideally want to run either 4 or 8 cameras. I have looked on ebay and there are a whole selction, and all look very similar, or should I be looking somewere else.

All ideas will be greatfully received!!

I run Geovision and have been very pleased with it.

Remember that you need the ability to handle 25fps in real time per camera; so 100fps for four cameras and a massive 200fps for eight..... The number of connections is of far less importance than the frames per second handled. If you buy an eight port card which is good for 25fps (as many are), then youll end up with just over three frames per second when using all ports...

why not run IP Cams instead and use ethernet?

Thanks very much,
As for running IP cam's wont to be able to record them as easily and also the cost is a major problem! The external ones are still silly money.
Already got an suitbale PC it wont cost the earth!
I have a proper look for suitable card now I know more about what I am looking for.

I use Axis IP cams at work. They're quite pricey but very easy to manage & the recording software is really good.
