2006 WRX Hawkeye Front number plate

Hi all

I am considering changing my front number plate to something a little smaller as the standard uk plate is far too big for the mounting on the bumper:(

I have seen many scoobs running smaller plates and was wondering what size others use - i know on the legal side anything but standard oblong or square is not strictly legal:nono:

i have a standard 2 letter, 2 number and 3 letter (7 digit) reg no and was thinking of either a 3/4 uk size or maybe a 12" x 3" (which should fit perfectly on the bumper) - i ideally want to make it as close to a standard uk one but smaller so as not to attract unwanted attention from the BIB:norty:

Any ideas of the best place to get one made

Cheers

Kev

Custom Number Plates - Reflective Acrylic Car Registration plates (UK and Ireland)

no idea what size i went for, just got the tape measure out but i have bever had any issues so far and its been on for comming up to 2 years. letters are UK size so its just the white part thats not the correct size

There are sites that sell them, just make sure you don't get stopped by BiB as they may fine you for plate being too small. My plates smaller than normal, but only by a little, so I can tell the difference, but most others can't.

Like F1CJEUK, I've just trimmed the sides off my 5 digit plate and its been moved over three cars in 6 years without being pulled over.
Letter size, spacing and border are still to spec. It also has the plate makers details.
