Removing REALLY stubborn brake dust from alloys.

After fitting Carbone Lorraine brake pads,i'm suffering from heavy brake dust build up on my alloys.

I bought some Menzerna 7.5 wheel cleaner which removed some of the dust but left alot behind.

I then bought some Meguiars wheel brightener which I tried today,it removed almost all of the built up brake dust but there is still a few little spots stuck to the wheel.

What else can I try that will remove these really stubborn spots ?

..

A aggressive clay bar should sort it out :thumb:

hi there,
I polish my alloys and the brake dust doesn't stick that heavy on my wheels.
Prevention is better than any running after :D

cheers
Nico

Alternative: brake with your handbrake xD tyre dust/tracks on streets doesn't stress you, does it? :D

try a good wheel cleaner such as the menz 7.5 or i use megs super degreaser. then follow up with autosmart tardis to remove any tar. after this as said above give them a going over with a claybar. just done use it on your paint again afterwards.

once all clean, seal them up with the poorboys wheels sealant. apply 3-4 thin layers over the course of a couple of hours and then follow up with a layer every time you wash the car.
