Powerkiting 09/08/08 - Thorndon Park
Time 09:00 HRS (Or earlier ;) ) Location - Thorndon Country Park (Behind the Halfway House A127) Weather - at 07:15 HRS - Sunny / Blue Sky  Windspeed - 8-12 MPH :eek2: Anyone is free to come along, great for kids, as there is a beautifual lake and pleasant walking... Do yourself a favour though, do not walk under the kites wait until we have brought them down and then stand behind us. (i cannot emphasize this enough as getting one of those lines round you in full wind will seriously hurt, not to mention the actual kite landing on your head as well) :thumb: Onwards and UPWARDS!!! ps: i think we ought to spread out a bit more too this week, thereare quite a few of us going...!!! (it might even rival the HWH Meet ;) ) lol :lol1: Dazza |
:luxhello: :luxhello: :luxhello:
Lovely here to , See you in a bit :D 8 -12 MPH Best i leave the big un here !! :freak3: |

morning fello kiters, clear skies but not a lot of wind here.
|
How long will you be over there for? My kids are still in bed :eek2: - but thought they might enjoy it? Was walking the dog a couple of months back and saw some guy with a rather large kite being pulled all over the place - kids thought it was pretty impressive - I, on the other hand, thought he was nuts :lol1:
|
last week vicki we didnt leave until 2ish i think.
all dependant on wind and weather. |

Dazza (bruised and battered) ps: thanks to everyone for making the effort :) Always got time for everyone else rather than fly his own kite , Been out with Mark three times now & learn something new evertime ( today it was how to un twiddle the brake lines whilst in the air  ) Dazza stop it !! :D :p Thanks Mark , Im sure i speak from all of us there today :thumb: We have learnt with Dazza today , That this is great fun , But they are not toys ;) I Can see now why you need a range of kites in your bag for differing wind conditions , Today my Rage 2.5 Was a real handfull , Gave me a brilliant work out , Where as the Blade 4.9 Stayed in the bag :Suspiciou :D The Trainer 1.5m Big Buzz got Big mick into it as well What a great morning ESC = So much more than a car club :luxhello: :luxhello: |
