Did you use new o/e gaskets? Often the replacment ones that come with the manifolds are rubbish. Use new o/e ones and all should be good.

i used proper ones but its just seems like an awful amount comming out around the join, will take them off and try again see how thats goes

My equallengthheaders seem to blow just on startup, when they are not warm.
You can smell the exhaustgas and a bit of fuel in the enginebay, near the inletpipe and radiator...
But when it is warm the pipes expand and everything seems to be okay.
Is this normal on equallengthheaders with slip joints?

I had a set of headers before and they blow as you describe out of the joints too.
Itīs best to use genuine gaskets of course!!!
