Easy to see where Newton Faulkner got some of his influence from when you watch Andy play Drifting.

The old "I can go up and down the neck at 500 mph and be a technical virtuoso but is it music", argument! I reckon Andy Mckee's combination of classic accoustic rhythym and 'new' style slap is something really different, (and I know it is not that new nowadays). I reckon this guy is also a God - just for his tampering in bending multiple strings and even trying behind the neck stuff, and this is old footage! YouTube - Re: Jerry Donahue Interview blubs |
