1copperhead 31 July 2008 03:32 PM

wrx287 31 July 2008 04:07 PM

What about the WHITE P1? Only 1 ever made in white IIRC:wonder:

Tidgy 31 July 2008 04:11 PM

mmm, not sure if that counts, was just a test bed rather than a specific model

They used about 3-4 cars to get the model right, some being type RA's the others being type R's, believe there are 2 white UK registered ex prodrive type r's out there which were the basis of the P1.

Tony:)

IIRC were there not one or 2 4 doors? I've seen a sonic blue 4 door on here that was half UK half JDM and had prodrive as its first owners. That had the P1 spoiler and wheels etc.

I know it could have been faked but alot of trouble for those half/half bits.

Casablanca? Saab9x thingy? They must be quite rare (although not quite Imprezas)

SWEET :)

I'd love to build a sleeper version :lol1:

sherlock 31 July 2008 04:28 PM

Would it not be the 22b type UK only 16 ever produced and some of them have been written off.

Sherlock

N_Scooby 31 July 2008 04:44 PM

Didn't Prodrive have some 1.8 GL's with EJ20 engines. Developed stuff on them, then when they were done set them free into the outside world. Had 5 or 6 if I remember correctly (about 1994/95)

depends on if you consider it a different model to the jap 22b

EddScott 31 July 2008 04:50 PM

The first batch of WRXs were down as 1.8GLs on the log book to get them in the country from what I remember.

Genuine rare I would agree with the 22B Type UK. Best rare buy I think is the black Prodrive bugeye only 100 made.

There is also the "Prodrive Style" bugeye which was based on a Bugeye Spec C but had the front bumper of the UK Prodrive cars. I've seen one on here but not in the flesh.

Different enough. I only went for a UK one as it was under Subaru warranty at the time for a very low price.

That P1 looks awesome in white, is the other one a WRC replica or an actual one?? Either way, looks fantastic:thumb:

minty 31 July 2008 08:09 PM

at the open day you could have your pic taken next to Petters WRC car, so that's what the White P1 will be next to

Awesome, shame I missed it:brickwall

GC8 31 July 2008 08:30 PM

The white car wasnt ever a P1 though was it? It was a development mule so it will have been an STI V that ended up with a similar mechanical specification to the P1 that was released.....

Dealer/importer special editions dont count; so Id suggest that either 1994 STIs or S201s are the rarest, as there are 300 of each. Considering that the 1994 STIs were manufactured in two separate productions runs, then Id suggest that the original 'of 100' STI Saloons and 'Wagons are the rarest, at 100 each...
