EVO/MLR
 

Although i've had the Scooby for nearly three years now, and wouldn't drive anything else i've always been attracted to the odd EVO. I tend to have a look over on MLR every now and again to do the odd bit of tyre kicking as you do. If i had the cosher i think i would seriously consider buying one but over on MLR they seem such an unfriendly bunch with a consistent negative attitude towards the Subaru brand. Can't understand it really, they come over all superior, a bit like BM and Audi owners particularly where Subaru's are concerned. Found myself giving a wave to nine the other day but got no reaction. What is it with these people?

Don't know why because both cars are cut from the same cloth, it wouldn't be so bad if it was friendly rivalry!

Thats the attitude you develop when owning an inferior car.... lol

Personally I love them, but wont have one after the recent hassle we had with a 4....and people slag off the Subaru engines! Oil pressure problems galore over there.

they deffo look down there noses at us , but i guess theres alot of us who look down there noses at them so its a catch 22 situation i suppose :)

Now i find the opposite ;) i wave locally to both Evo's and Scoobs, I get more EVO's wave back :cool: I've been to loads of Trackdays always have chats with MLR boys and are simular Enthusiasts like myself.

On the MLR site they maintain the majority WEB to Mitzy content. Also a very high percentage of users are EVO owners or interested performance junkies.

I don't think a thread with "EVO's are ****e long live Subaru's" would last very long nor would the User.

Although on here it would be discussed to death before being eventully locked IMHO

I suppose threads like this always help to spread brotherly love ;) LOL

i chatted to this home boy at the pod the other day, half way through the convo he just did up his window, stupid nerdy lancer driver.

PMSL. they are the worst bad losers ever, the lengths that one local owner went to to beat my car was amazing, including selling his slow evo6 ;) for a new evo 8, and then having to spend thousands on his evo 8 to make it fast, and then i refused to race him, which annoyed him :lol1:

I have owned an STI then now my EVO IX, the MLR are an OK bunch but i frequent this site more so read into that what you want.

Both cars though are nothing of the same, two different worlds and driving experiences, so two different kinds of people so there is always going to be a disagreement with only maybe a 25% cross over who has mutual respect for the two different brands

Personally i love Evos... never had any agro with any evo drivers either.

You get the occasional nob whos spouts off that Subarus are sh1te blah blah but then you get the same over here.

Im a performance car nut and that includes all types from Caterhams to Koniggsegs. If i was on the lookout for another car id be intersted in an Evo for sure...

Besides i kinda like being the underdog in my slower, uglier impreza :D
