Is there any way around this I seem to recall a while back you could buy parts to stop your suspension bottoming out which you fit near the top of the suspension turrets - just like a rubber or plastic block. Prob. not the best solution, but I can't think of anything else to suggest - firmer springs perhaps? What are you running? |
I had to roll my rear arches to get my 225/40/18s in.

Thanks for the rapid replys people :)
I'm running standard wrx ra springs n shocks, they may even be the original ones from 1994, they seem stiff and firm still :wonder: . Fine with no rear passengers but a nightmare with even 1 person. My tyres are 215/35/18 if that helps. Where do i look for these plastic things then matey? Thanks again guys :thumb: |
bump stops thats what ya need can get them from most poly bush companys
|
Strange i ran 215/35/18 on my STI v3 no rubbing what so ever.

Thanks "Kinghorn" il'll look for bump stops and give em a try :thumb: |
Nope none at all even with back passenge. Maybe your shock is worn and more play in it.
|
No rubbing here either, even with 2 or 3 passengers in the back.
I once tried 225 40s and they rubbed with passengers in, but no problem at all with 215 35s |
I've got no rubbing either, running the same size tyres BTW. Sounds like the offset may be wrong by a couple of mm :Whatever_ . The only way to sort it properly (IMHO) would be to get the rear arches rolled. Putting bigger bumpstops to lessen wheel travel will only upset the handling.

Handling... I guess it may upset it. :(
Mainly when cornering! ok in straight line, poly bushes is that what they are? |
