Later gearbox for MY 99 Turbo

Can anyone please tell me if the 5 speed gearbox from a MY 04 - 07 WRX will fit on a UK MY 99 Imreza Turbo.

The answer, via API, is yes but not very cheaply due to driveshafts, if anyone else has the same query at some stage.
