Slight hesitation

My RB5 is recently starting to judder/hesitate under hard acceleration and a very faint fluttering noise can be heard. This is hardly noticeable to a passenger but I have noticed it.

Ideas?

Could it be that I have added a slightly larger tmic and undertray (newage WRX) and Samco Y pipe since the remap?

Sounds like you have a similar issue to me. I have a standard bugeye WRX, and since the 60k service (plugs and all fluids) I have a slight hesitation at about 3250 revs, whether accelerating hard or part throttle. Again, only really noticeable by me knowing the car. Generally it seems a little rougher than before.

It's been back to the (main) dealer twice but no luck. My first thought was a plugs issue as they had been changed, but seeing your post made me think it could be an airflow or hose issue.

Would be interested to know if you get it fixed, good luck!

Mines was doing the same thing lately. Found it to be tesco fuel i was using. Are you using this? Mines hundred times better on v-power:thumb:

Yes I do use Tesco fuel. I think I will try V power to see what happens.

My hesitation is from around 3k revs right through the rev range almost like a vibration?

Mine felt like a coil pack but knock was low so I ran mine really low then filled her to the brim with v-power Took a good 10-15 miles to get through properly but what a difference! Not sure if there's something wrong with Tesco fuel at mo as my old engine was perecftly fine on it  Give it a try got nothing to lose apart from a few pence and Club card points!:lol1:

Only use V Power.

I get a slight hesitation at 3250 fairly consistently, then it's OK again. Also seems to hesitate very slightly at other points. It's not bad, but is really bugging me!

Seems a little worse in warm weather as well.

perhaps tesco's recent supply was abit iffy, ide see how it goes or try a tank of v power and see if theres any change

never had any issue with Tesco 99RON and I've been using it since it was released. Could be oil in the ic, I had similar symptoms until I cleaned the ic and pipe work out and added a catch can.
