Pyschopath test

Ok,

So you clicked on ths thread, which means you may have tendancies ;)

Haven't seen this done before on here, although it probably should be in the sign up form :D

Anyway - Psychopath Test

Read the question, post your answer below and then I'll post the "correct" one

This is not a trick question. It is as it reads.

A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met a man who she did not know. She thought he was ‘amazing’. She believed him to be her dream partner so much, that she fell in love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could not find him.

A few days later she killed her sister.

Question: What was her motive for killing her sister?

This was a test by a famous American psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a killer.

Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and answered the question correctly.

Give this some thought before you post your answer - and please don't post if you've done it before or google the answer :)

She was fat and her sister was skinny, taking out the competition?

sarasquares 24 July 2008 12:10 PM

i clicked :p

Jerome 24 July 2008 12:15 PM

Easy, so she could see the man again.

What do i win...?

MJW 24 July 2008 12:15 PM

A straitjacket & 200ml of thorazine !

PeteBrant 24 July 2008 12:19 PM

I would say she knew that the man was obviously a friend of the family that she was previously unaware of, prvoen by him being attendant at her monthers funeral. So she killed her sister in the hope of the man attending the sisters funeral. And then she could give him her number.

Tam the bam 24 July 2008 12:20 PM

It's confirmed, Pete's a psycho!! ;) :D

Evil Twin of Tarquin 24 July 2008 12:21 PM

She killed her sister because it's Thursday :D

PeteBrant 24 July 2008 12:25 PM

By the way - I googled the answer I answered after to see if I was anywhere close. I won't say what it said, but I will say that snopes says the idea that this was invented by an American psychologist, and that it was used as a test to find psychopaths is bollocks.

(Don't click unless you want to spoil the answer)

snopes.com: Psych Test Reveals Psychopaths

Here's some other old favourites that lots of peopel will probably know.

A man is travelling towards a hotel. When he gets there, he will hand over £600. He will not stay there for any length of time. He has never been there before. He does not owe anybody money, nor is he buying anything.

Why is he heading there and why is he paying?

Also

A man is heading for the centre of a deserted field, there is no one around for several miles. When he gets there he is going to die. He knows he is going to die, he has no weapons of any kind, no diseases, no pills.

How does he know that his life will end?

it was the wrong time of the month and her sister had eaten all the chocolates

ChefDude 24 July 2008 12:48 PM

i didn't get it. i had to google it.
:(

ChefDude 24 July 2008 12:59 PM

I mailed this to some peeps at work and got...

"Her sister sent her an email about a psychopath test?"

"Her motive was clearly unresolved issues about "Goldie The Third" when they were kids, when her sister forgot to feed him when they went on holiday. Her revenge was a long time coming, but "Goldie" can now rest in peace."

"Watch your back for the next few days: that's all I'm saying.

Also, take care of family goldfish. They may know people.
"

"The sister had killed the mother and she wanted revenge or she found out that the sister was with the fella and wanted her out of the way or she found out the fella had killed her mother and wanted revenge or in the few days between she did find the fella who gave her aids that he had caught off her sister so she killed both and you simply failed to mention the guy was also dead but hadn't been found by the police yet."

:brickwall

I do hope this person is not in any position of responsbility.

WRXMATT 24 July 2008 01:08 PM

She killed her sister so there would be anotehr funeral and he then might return!!

ChefDude 24 July 2008 01:10 PM

Pete, he's a software developer.

alcazar 24 July 2008 01:11 PM

He was her sister's husband/boyfriend who she had never met.??

Alcazar

BTW: the other two are simple, but I won't spoil it by posting the answer.

Try this one:
Two men are walking through a seaport town. They go into an hotel, where one of them orders a "seagull sandwich", which consists of raw seagull meat in bread.
He takes one bite, and smiles.

The other man goes outside and kills himself. Why?

I won't spoilt it but I know the answer to this one. I had forgotten this little gem, it's an absolute beauty :D

Apparently, they encourage "lateral thinking".

Here's another.

A man is lying in a phone box, dead. Both his wrists are cut, and one pane of glass either side of the phone box is broken. The phone is dangling off the hook, and outside the phone box stands his sporting equipment. He did not commit suicide.
How did he die?

Alcazar

He'd been on the phone to virgin media trying to get a fault on his home line sorted, After 45 minutes of Mijibar calling him Mr Tam, and trying to understand what each other were saying he's getting more and more frustrated, finally as the pips go on his last 20p, he flips his lid, goes absolutely nuts and starts punching the glass door, which breaks tanning both his wrists in the process!?! :wonder: :D

GazJenno 24 July 2008 02:13 PM

Doesnt say that the mothers death or the man story are related to why she killed her sister.... maybe her mother died in a car crash, her sister was also in the crash but left on life support and she decided to pull the plug.

Im also gonna guess that any answers that say it was revenge or jelousy or something shows that them people are psycho's as they think its acceptable to kill for them reasons.

Devildog 24 July 2008 03:09 PM

LOL

Ok,

The "answer" to the original question is that she kills her sister simply to give rise to another funeral. He was at the mothers so may well attend the sisters too.

Sound reasoning, slightly extreme in execution though.

So, it may be bollox as to being set by a psychologist, but its interesting to see the thought process.

I was torn between "another funeral" and "the sister got his number but wouldn't tell her". Guess that makes me only 50% psychotic..LOL...

As for the rest, I've heard the seagull one and fugured out the phone box one, but Pete's hotel guy is proving diffiicult

Thing is - there is no one "right answer" (other than the arbitory one set by the person who thought up the question) but that is arguably the whole point of encouraging lateral thought.

.

He has been pretty unlucky. If the hotel was somewhere else it would have been cheaper. Still could have been worse, could have been mayfair

:D

ChefDude 24 July 2008 04:18 PM
