which is pin 3? do u count from the left or the right?

i have a belkin omni cube that lets me use 2 pcs via one keyboard/mouse/monitor.
there is a problem though- the keyboard overrides the mouse (grounding problem?) this is a problem belkin no about and to solve it they are sending me a PS2 lead to go from pc to box that has no grounding pin whatever that means- prob is they donthave any in stock and so i have to wait...... and they wont tell me which pin they remove. is it easy to tell which is the grounding pin casue f so i'll pull it out muself. ps- easy on me please- no pc knowledge!
