The 40 profile is the problem, I have 35 Yokos and they still rub under load. (P1)

Would going to a 35mm profile and to a 215mm width help?

It reminds me of my old Astra GTE days with 17" wheels on and cringeing every time it rubbed :lol1:

mines lowered and I had to go down to 205/40/17

i think 215/35/18 would help, thats what i have. they only rub every now and then thats with a full car + full tank!! and mine is low.

Grind out the rear arche's a little with a 4" angle grinder. Only need to take off a few mm. Paint the bear metal. Job done no more rubbing.

Im not taking the grinder to it no chance - smaller tyres width and thickness it is then :)
