My car with a Blitz NSR

Thought I'd post a few pics of my car with a Blitz Nur Spec R which was fitted a couple of weeks ago (finally gave my car a clean today).

I had an Afterburner Vortex backbox and centre on my old car which I thought was quite loud.
My first impressions of the Blitz NSR were it was defo louder (not as much as I'd thought though after reading raving reviews about it on SN) than the Vortex, especially on cold start, and the rumble is bit deeper too.

But during the last week, I've been finding it not as loud...maybe am just getting used to it:wonder:

A Present from the postman:)

...and another pic for good measure:lol1:

Sorry for the poor quality pics...was taken with my 3.2mp phone and lighting was bad.

Yeah loving it.
It really makes up for the crappy stereo/speakers that Subaru supplied the car with.
I've the back windows down whenever I drive it now:lol1:

I would second that. Especially if you overfuel slightly and get a nice pop from the silencer. And get shot of the bung. :luxhello: :thumb:

The exhaust looks sweet, and so does the scooby. I'm trying to get hold of one of these backboxes, but seems like they are in demand atm.
Just have to be patient I suppose.

Used to love driving around with all the windows down just listening to the Blitz, awesome sound! Fantastic looking car there too mate :thumb:

I still think this is the one i'll go for but i've still not heard the exhaust.

There is endless clips on youtube but sound clips on there and how things sound in reality are very very different.

I'm sure one of the Scoobs at this weekends protest will have 1 for me to hear.

It was the first mod I did to my scoob back in 2003! :thumb:

Love the sound from the Blitz! :notworthy

If you don't think it is that loud now......

Fit a 3" decat downpipe on and I promise you the noise level will go up a fair old bit ;).

The first thing I did on my 1st scoob years ago was buy a new Nur Spec 'R'. The car came with a decat already, but with a 2.5" exit. I fitted a H&S decat with 3" exit and it increased the noise again by about 50%. To this day myself and my friends haven't heard a louder Impreza :D.

Definetly:luvlove: ... makes the drive more enjoyable. Glad I went for it in the end.

I know exactly what you mean... before I went and bought the Nur Spec, I listened to almost all the nur spec subaru clips on youtube, but at the end of the day, its difficult to tell how loud it was because some sounded loud because the camera was right up close to the exhaust, but then some made the backbox sound raspy.
But anyways, I trusted the feedback on SN and bought it anyway.
No regrets, and I defo recommend it... you won't be disappointed.

Was looking into this.
Scoobyworld have an Afterburner de-cat downpipe.
But will the car pass an MOT with this fitted, can't be bothered to have to change over when the time comes.

Mr Footlong 19 July 2008 08:44 AM

I would say no way in hell would it pass with no cat on the downpipe and an full Nur R system as the centre section is taken out of the picture too, on the classics at least. I can only say that with a Scoobyworld Ninja sport cat, modified to 3" exit, my current scoob sailed through her last MOT! I am not sure what sport cat options you have for your year, I am a classic fan myself :)
