hello mate
i have been useing silkolean pro r,15w50,for 4 years now no probs, runs sweet.was put on to it by people who know there stuff.but i would say as long as its synthetic and not halfords own you should be ok....remember jap cars are the best and are bomb proof, but dont cost cut on serviceing and lubes........

10w40 shell helix semi synthetic.
Now the point being that fully synthetic is fine, as long as the car has been run on it for most of its life, if you dont know what the car has been run on, go semi as putting fully synth oil in a car run on semi for 80k doesnt do much to prevent wear (the damage is done already, ie slightly more wear but nothing drastic, which the fully synth slows down).

If its a classic (pre 2001) then change that oil, 30 rated is far too thin for a classic (it does state so in the handbook) so stick to a 5w40 fully synth (see my post above) or a 10w40 semi synth.
