fitting 4 pot callipers instead of single pot callipers
hi, just fitted 4 pot callipers to my early impreza turbo, upgrade from single pot callipers, bleed brakes as should etc but cant seem to get right pedal feel. if press pedal just goes to floor, more times pump and pedal gets hard and doesnt drop. when release and go back on brake pedal, goes to floor.
do i need to change master cylinder, etc? was perfect before, no fluid loss and certain no air in system. cheers |
i upgraded from single pot to 4pot brembos about 2 months ago and had the same problem,
jus had to wait for them to bed in and all was fine after about two weeks, take it easy till then and you should feel it getting harder my pedal now is how it was before i upgraded. but stops a whole lot better now. |
how strange, never known of that before? but hey will try but dont know if want to try it out on road in case loose all brakes.lol.

Did you fit the calipers on so the bleed nipple is at the top of the calipers ? if not you need to swap them over from one side to the other.
If they are on the right way , it could be a faulty master cylinder Cheers Ian |

Have you bled the system front and rear ??

swop them over you have them upside down, i like a good few on here did this and spent hours going all round car bleeding, thinking pedal was getting better only to find i was wrong, then read on here about making sure bleed nipple was at top, and was not :( so swopped over bled and all sorted, also have a set of rear 2 pots, discs and pads any idea what there worth??
