exaggerating your CV
never something ive thought of till today.Taking on an apprentice at work so the usual CVs come in and obviously some folk embellish the truth a little to get ahead.Anyone ever actually done it and got away with it or got caught?Reason i ask is one of the cvs this morning was a classic.Bearing in mind he was applying for an apprentice greenkeeping position, hard work, low pay etc.from 91-93 he served in the gambian police force, then the army as an officer with best in class officer training till 94,was trained in counter terrorism by the UN at the same time in ankara turkey, served in the UN war crimes unit in yugoslavia in 95,peacekeeper in east timor in 2000,has a law degree taught agricultural science when he came to this country, left to do computer programming and is currently a financial advisor :wonder: thats a hell of a cv to make up dont you think.

Was his name MUGABE by any chance? :lol1:
When you say Apprentice Greenkeeper, do you mean trainee Lawn Mower Handler or something like?? Puzzled?? |
Are you considering me for the position though? Oh and I forgot I can break dance too.
|
not even that good yet pete dont get near sharp dangerous things till all the health and safety stuffs done, gone are the days of tying the brake to the handle with rope do do bankings and such lol
|
I'd employ him.
I mean - he can keep people off the grass without a problem - Land Mines are a great deterrent! :D |
With what he has done he must be about 65 years old!!! :lol1:
|
he will empty your bank accounts sell your house and steal your car. then he will say thankyou kind sir
|
Had a CV recently (from 2 different agencies) that had as a bullet point "Kill Skills"
I'm not sure if he was boasting or just thick :) Nick |
I have to tone down reality for mine so its none threatening to lesser mortals and so as to sound beleivable.
Sorry, I am having a NACRO delusion again, damn. |
