More depressing news.

From The Times.

Burglars do not warrant a prison sentence, i.e. the prisons are too full.

Well I think burglary, even without violence, is a heinous crime, and should feel the full weight of the law.

And just to add insult to injury: The risk of an offender committing further, non-serious offences should not automatically lead to jail, the paper added.

Don't worry, you can stay out on the streets even if it is likely that you will re-offend :mad:

I believe that burglars should go to jail and that any force is allowed to protect yourself and your family if someone enters your home.

It would be nice if this w@nker who we have in charge of us could actually do something right for once. I just cannot get my head around the fact of how he manages to get everything wrong every time.

Just how hard can it be to knock up a low security prison for these offenders to let them in and learn not to do stuff like this. They have managed to do this in America, that Texas mayor (I forget his name). He made a prison out of surplus Army tents, and spends more on the food for the guard dogs than on the prisoners.

I wouldn't worry, the rozzers don't bother turning up for burglaries any more anyway so no need to worry about sentencing.
