Time to ditch the hotmail account, back off a weeks skiing, 300 odd new emails, of which 255 are pure SPAM!

Can anyone recommend a similiar service without the spam? Must be able to read email from any browser inc PDA, and would be nice if it worked with Outlook Express behind a company firewall.

cheers,

greg

You might try Opera, don't know how it would work with express, probably not too well

Isn't opera a browser? I don't have a problem with my browser and I want to be able to read email wherever I got via whatever browser is in the internet cafe/mates house etc

cheers,

greg

Greg

I use Lycos Mail. Very good. No Spam and a handy translation feature.

Try talk21.com.

I've used it for years and not had anything I didn't know the source of.

You can view over the web as well as download with Outlook Express.

Yahoo mail gives you 6Mb instead of the measly 2Mb hotmail gives you, and it is WAP accessible?

gregh 06 February 2002 10:51 AM

The filters are already high, the only next step is where it only receives email from people in my address book!

Yahoo or Lycos are looking favourites at the moment.

You could just set up the filters on your Hotmail account so that anything that is not specifically addressed to you is automatically deleted.

I did that some time ago and the ammount of junk has gone from about 8 - 10 per day to about 5 per week.
