sti 5 heads ? or not
 

hi anyone got any info on the version 5 sti /or p1 cylinder heads , these heads have a sticker on the head which has the cam sensor on it saying 316575 , guy wont let me take the cam covers of to identify the lifters , any other way , asap thanks lee

IIRC - head codes stamped on the heads are RH/LH C006,7,8.
If the heads are off the engine,the valve codes are ID3 + ED3.
If you do get the Cam Covers off, it will have Under Bucket Shims for the STi/P1 heads - UK spec have Outer Shim type of buckets.

I take it your concidering buying these heads,
if so tell whoever wont let you take the covers off to poke them where the sun dont shine untill he lets you look at what your buying...:nono:

As above, whats he hiding under there then? Walk away, too many dodgy folk about IMHO.

Also they crack around the spark plug hole, you can see this when cleaned with a bit of scotchbrite and wd40 on the combustion side.

I'd say walk as well. Too dodgy.
