bigger brake shoes????

Im going to be fitting front & rear brembo brakes on MY02 WRX.

I understand i need bigger or thicker brake shoes for the rear hub for the hand brake to work, Can anyone let me know where i can sourse theses???

Also is there any other issues i will come across while making this brake convertion????

Your OEM front wheels will not clear the Brembo brakes. Otherwise, buy the Performance Friction discs and pads for the front and you will have an awesome set up for the money.
I would have gone down this route myself but i cannot be arsed with needing new wheels on my 03 WRX so i just bought new OEM discs and Pagid Blue pads.
If you search on here there are some recent threads about this upgrade.

Have a bit of a search as there is a fair bit of info on here regarding this subject.

You will caliper mounting brackets as well as larger discs.

I sourced a kit from ebay, but there are dealers on here that can supply all you need.

I'd be interested to know where the thicker shoes are sourced from originally though?

Ive got new brembo drilled discs for the front & rear for a sti.

I think its only the classics that need the mounting brackets:confused: as ive been told it should just be a case of bolting straight on for the front & ive to remove the stone gaurd at the rears to fit the larger rear discs & also have to replace the shoes with a thicker set to allow for the larger hub!!!!;)

Yes only the classics need the brackets and the handbrake shoes , the MY01 onwards WRX only needs the thicker handbrake shoes.

I supply the handbrake shoes and fitting kit for this conversion.

Cheers Ian
