What am I missing!

Right, like to keep my scoob clean and shiney like the rest of us, but doing 100 miles aday can sometimes play havoc with the cleaning side of things lol

Anyway, I have been buying a few bits peices lately as I have had the car painted and didnt really want to attack it straight away, so I have a few things sitting waiting to be used.

Silver and Black bugeye ;) with carbon bonnet and black wheels.

Poorboys White Diamond (for the silver)
Poorboys Black hole (for the black)
Poorboys EXP
Poorboys SSR 1 & 2
Poorboys clay bar
Poorboys Degreaser
Poorboys Shampoo

Silverline polisher
- What pads and a backing plate do I need to buy for the polisher I have?

Also have a mix of meguiars wax and other cleaning stuff.

Now whats the best order to use the above products and do I need to get 2 different waxes for the car or will 1 do?

I would like to have a wet look rather than a hard reflection if its possible from the stuff I have.

Thanks
S!

Righty then, after a good thorough wash and clay session it will be time to polish the paint. To be honest the Poorboys SSR range isn't great by rotary as it tends to dry out pretty quick. Also, if the paint is looking pretty good already then you may only need to glaze it with the Poorboys glazes. These can be applied by rotary using a very soft waffle pad (3M Ultrafina Blue Pad) is ideal, but hand application is also quick and highly effective. For a proper wet look on both the black and silver at the expense of a little reflectivity, I would suggest finishing with Poorboys Natty's Paste Wax Blue.

Going back to the rotary, if you decide SSR1 or even SSR2 is needed, then you will find them easiest to use with 3M High Gloss Polishing Black Pads, and the best backing plate for use with all of the pads mentioned above is the 3M M14 125 mm plate. :thumb:
