I-pod ( various) query
Are you forced to buy only i-tunes or can you download any old music (free or otherwise) off the net , cheers
|
download, copy from CD, all fine.
Once downloaded, copy it to itunes folder in appropriate place if iTunes monitors folders. Alternatively, download file and then add it to iTunes library (menu in iTunes). |
Ah right , thanks for that :thumb:
Also am i right that if you want radio its an add-on unit :wonder: |
Or look at something like Anapod and ditch the memory hungry POS that is iTunes

Also am i right that if you want radio its an add-on unit :wonder: The key thing when it comes to music from elsewhere is wether it has any form of DRM on it, if so, then unless it's AAC Protected, which is the format used by the iTunes Music Store, then I doubt the iPod will be able to play it as it wont' be able to decode the DRM. As for FM Radio, yes, you do need an add-on unit for this. Apple has their own, but others such as Griffin Technology might also provide them too. |
Avoid Anapod with a 10 foot barge pole - the company has ceased trading although you can still pay money to them and receive precisely f*** all.
Winamp does a very good job and its free. Chris |
