Best oil to reduce piston slap. ?

I do lots of short journeys too and fro work, and my piston slap (forged pistons), is really beginning to get on my nerves. Anyone had some good experience for using a different oil to help reduce this ?.

I am thinking perhaps a thicker synethic oil might help 15W 40 or there could be an argument to use a really thin oil to get to rings quicker. Even when my car is hot, piston slap is still there (just).

I could just put up with it, but the right oil should dramatically help reduce I would have thought, and I am only looking to make up 0000's of an inch.

Any experience / advice greatly appreciated.

or you could try 15w 50 Motul 300V, it gets a very good write up on here, gonna try it myself next service.

I very much doubt changing oil will reduce the noise from piston slap. I suspect you will just have to put up with it, until you can drive in such a way as to get much more heat into the pistons.
