Running lean

finally fitted my gauge, tapped into one of the white wires on lambda sensor on down pipe, i had 2 white and a black to choose from. the one white done nothing, the black done nothing but one white wire gave a signal.

the gauge then went to the lean side, approx half way into the lean reading.

then i went for a spin, gave it some, the gauge lifted approx two notches but not into optimal.

have i wired it in correct, what could cause this.

what shall i do now????

get it to a garage and get it plugged into the computer u will be able to tell if there is a problem with ur sensor or fueling

if you have wired it into the standard lambda then readings will be way off!
(you need to wire it to a wideband)

also the reading shouldn't stay in one place (it will get richer as the load/revs increase)

If your O2 sensor is a three wire, then the two white wires are for the heater and the black wire is the signal output which your gauge should be connected to. The voltage on the black wire is unlikely to ever be more than 0.95volts higher than the battery earth terminal.
