Well done to owning up to buying a Shaking Stevens record, that must've taken some balls :D

Being an 80's child, I never had the privilidge of owning a record player :D

Great difficulty in remembering - or perhaps it's just selective memory because I'm cringing at the thought of telling you what my first cassette was :o (I too was a child of the 80s! :D)

First cassette - Top 40 recorded with the microphone propped up against the telly speaker, on one of those mono tape recorders. ( We had Redifusion tv and it had Radio 1,2 3 & 4)
