bonnet vent blanking plates
 
i have been toying with taking these off to let heat escape from engine bay but is this a resipie for disaster?. as one is over the battary & the other is over the mav sensor. :wonder:

messes up air flow for cooling...Harvey did some investigation into this a few years ago iirc...keep 'em in place :)

i've had my offside one of for about 4 year now and never had any neg affect, however when i park up you can feel the heat comeing out of it compared to the other which feels cold

if you measure the ambient temperature in the engine bay before and after you will find the temps with the blanking plates in place are lower than without. :)
