newbie with a few questions.
 

im new to scooby ownership. and have just got a 97 2.0l sport. the first questons have are. there is a cable opperated hydrolic thing opperated from the clutch arm. can anyone tell me what that is? also whats the standard power figure for the sport. and how is the drive split front to rear? is it 50/50 60/40 70/30?? thanks in advance......

the clutch thing you are thinking about is the infamous Hill Holder Clutch.
It means you can hold your scoob on an incline with just your foot on the brake :)

I know that I'm asking for a ribbin.....
But I usually hold my scooby on an incline with my brake...
or can you stop with the brake and the clutch comes in automatically... thats got to be weired..

When you stop on a hill, you fully depress the clutch pedal and brake pedal. As long as you keep the clutch fully depressed, braking force is retained by the Hill-Holder System, and you can remove your right foot from the brake pedal without fear of the vehicle rolling backward. When it’s time to go, your right foot will be free to depress the accelerator pedal as you pull away. As you gradually release the clutch, the brakes release automatically.

Feels weird the first time you do it :D
