Oil In Intercooler

Hi

quite new to this Impreza stuff and just took the IC off of my MY03 STI to replace the hoses with samco.

There was quite a significant amount of oil in the IC itself and in the pipes.

Would a catch tank prevent this?
Is a catch tank worth fitting on an otherwise standard road going STI PPP?
Can anyone recommend a good fitting catch tank?

Thanks
Steve

some oil in the intercooler is normal :)

catch can will prevent this, although its not a major problem. A catch can is nothing special so any type will do, some people have been known to use plastic bottles.

The cheap way is to feed a pipe from your breather and run it down below your car and just VTA
