2007 Sti Oil Pressure, What should it be??

As above..My oil pressure sits at 2.0 and some times drops to just under that at idle speed is this normal/ok or should i get it checked out?

The car idles around 750-800 rpm and is un modified.

Cheers
Mike

Anywhere from 2.7 to 3.5 bar seems to be the normal depending on oil quality and grade. It does sound a little low my old engine was around your figures and ended up spinning a shell:eek2: . Worth getting it checked out could be just duff gauge or sender

my wrx is around 40psi on idle when warm which is 2.7bar.

I also get just over 2 bar on idle when warm (Millers 10/40) on my modded 06 STi.
6 bar appears at 2700 rpm when warm.

I can't see a problem with your reading - make a note of pressure as you get to 1000, 2000 and 3000 rpm.

2 bar is normal - I got that on the std engine at warm idle. Slightly less if the car was very hot after a track session.

Subaru states an acceptable minimum of 1 bar at hot idle !!
