New Car For Dad - £20-25K???
After writing a post not so long ago asking a similar question although the parameters for pricing were a little different, I now have a new task of finding a suitable car for my father.
The car would have to be newish - 05> Cost £20-25K Have 4 seats Not be absolutely appauling fuel economy wise So far I have the following list of possibilities, and comments, recommendations or further options are welcomed. Chrysler 300C BMX 330D BMW 530D BMW 535D BMW 540 Jaguar XJ Land Rover Range Rover Sport Lexus GS300 Lexus IS250 Mercedes C55 AMG Vauxhall VXR8 Volvo XC90 Volkswagen Touareg Audi A4 Cabriolet Mazda RX-8 Subaru Forester STi PPP So quite a wide spectrum of choices and styles there  Cheers G |
RS6! for the big boy.
Haroon. |
Type-25!
|
Does he like to drive fast? How is he with gadgets? The BMW i-drive system is good, but I don't think my dad would figure it out!
|
Is it private or company?
Check out next years VED (car tax by any other name) because some of those you list are going to have extortionate bills that I wouldnt fancy paying. |

Also who would compare an VXR8 to a diesel 3 series Beemer? Totally different cars. Maybe narrow dow the criteria? Do they want fast or economical? Are the brand loyal? Do they want handling? Does it need to go off road? Open top? How practical 4 seats? Once you decide on a "type" of car, or at least requirments for it then it'll be easier to pick some sensible examples. |
