Just put a deposit down on this little one

Hi all,

Sorry about the poor picture quality as it was taken on my iPhone. Me and the fiancee went to look at a 4 week old Pug last night and couldn't resist putting a deposit down. Collect her in 4 weeks time. Her name is Bella. These dogs have such a brilliant personality.

Being serious - cute dog, and I'm not a dog person! :D

They are lovely dogs, they seem to have a sense of humour and they look really cool in a suit.

Could we have a photo without the pup, too? ;)

Quality vid. I must say though even if our pug attempts to bite or jump on the sofa it'll be getting a telling off.:nono:

Good luck with the pup, keep us updated on how she's doing as she grows up, she's a wee cracker :)

Every time I see a Pug I can't help but think of that one in Men in Black. She's a cutie though.

What exactly does the deposit secure - all seems a weird way of acquiring a companion but there you go :o

pick her up on the 9th July so will post some pics then. You have to leave a deposit so you don't pull out last minute and they're left with a pup with no home to go to.

Common practise mate. When you think how much these can change hands for. Like Paul says, its to assure you wont change your mind. Pups are usually all sold at the same time, so for the breeder to hold on to them longer is not the norm.

Guess what, the deposit secures the puppy and stops anybody else buying her. :freak3:

As invariably people see puppies before they leave their mothers at circa 8 weeks they can't take them away with them so a deposit secures the puppy until its old enough to come away.

Then there is the fact a breeder like any seller of anything might incur extra costs if somebody changes his/her mind and hasn't put down a deposit. Granted, lots of decent breeders have no trouble selling litters via word of mouth but a deposit can only add to the buyers serious intent and the 'claiming' of a particular puppy from the litter.

In some of the bloodlines I deal with deposits are put down on the promise of a next litter! Waiting lists aren't uncommon either.

Paulg1979, have fun with her and good luck with the puppy too in 4 weeks. :thumb:
