Which uprated Engine and Gearbox kit gives more vibration?

Hi all,

I've got two different sets of engine and box mounts, one set was bought from APi and look exactly like this:

RallySportDirect.com - Cusco Impreza WRX STI Engine and Transmission Mounts GC8 GD

And the other is the normal looking sti stuff but uprated over that and Prodrive gearbox mount, see:

http://lachutesubaru.com/cgi-bin/pub...59&photoid=352

The prodrive mount looks exactly same as this but has stiffer rubber.

This is the mount it replaced:

Transmission Mount- 6MT

I now understand both kits fit perfectly fine, no problems being 5 or 6 speed boxes, so my question is, who's found vibration using the kits?
I've only got the Cusco looking gearbox mount at present and it seems to have more vibration up front. Will test again today with another run...:(

May well be asking APi for refund of engine mounts and fit the uprated sti ones.

I only fitted STi uprated gearbox and pitch stop mounts. No vibration and just a little more noise - now drowned out by the 3" decat :).
It made the 6 spd change a little more positive and solved problems I had getting 3rd gear.

I'm on the road to full 3" decat, just need parts of exhaust fitting - cant wait, already heard it running and its louder than blitz setup.

Hmm, I've got the Cusco gearbox mount (or very same type and shape), not that much rubber on them, very rigid and I do get a little more vibration inside, think that with engine mounts and it will def show.

Its exactly the problem I've had, cant find 3rd for love nor money except sometimes can but it stiff and crunches like mad - be glad when its gone.

Cheers Nick.
