Just got myself a type r and wondered what oil to put in.

silkolene pro S 10W 50 is what i always used in my 99 typeR,best price is from opie oils

10w40 shell helix semi synthetic, as recommended by Subaru ;)
Unless you know what oil has been in there before, take it as always being semi synth, adding fully synth on a higher mileage engine does nothing as you have the wear in there already.

Millers CFS10/60 thats what I use in my track car.

If the engine is not worn with normal bore clearance I would consider 10W-40 fully synthetic. With a bit of wear then during the summer it would be 15W-50. The oil I am using now is Motul but in the past I have tried Royal Purple and I am about to go back to it again.
