DOn't know about 02, but AFAIK they're all fairly similar in terms of plumbing and wiring. I did mine the first time by unplugging everything, i.e. injectors, idle valve, etc etc. then undoing water pipes, then finally fuel pipes, then just moving everything out of the way (labelled so you remember where everything goes), undoing the manifold bolts and lifting. First time took me a day being super careful. Last time I did it a couple of months ago it took me under an hour. I don't remember taking any wiring with it though, that all stays on the car the way I do it...

There's a grey and a brown multipin connectors by the washer bottle. Disconnect these plus the boost solenoid, O2 sensor, knock sensor, coolant, cam, crank and oil pressure sensor connectors and the loom can be left on the manifold as you take it off.
Remove green brackets of death around injectors and then you have room to get at the manifold to block bolts.
Disconnect fuel lines.
Disconnect crank & cam vent lines.
Disconnect inlet hose to turbo.
Remove IC.

And probably another 100 items I've forgotten about.

All in all its a PITA job.
